Beautiful house and garden. Very nice place. We had a pleasant stay. Very helpful indeed. Lots of fun for kids — Wii was great! We will recommend you to our friends.

Of all the places — hotels, guesthouses, and hostels we have stayed in, Yougendo stands out as the best — exceptional traditional Japanese house and an excellent helpful owner — 1st class! Oh yes, and we got free use of some bikes as well — what more could you want?

It was so good to be here. It was near the supermarket, we could shop, we could cook, in your wonderful kitchen. It was so calm here. The services are very detailed and specific, not just like general hotel. We felt like living in a home.

It was the first time in Japan that I was treated as the same as non-veggie. Yougendo is a heaven for herbivores. The atmosphere here is very good so does the service, facility, etc. We must definitely come back here if we have a chance.

The facilities, the staff, the cook, the food, etc. is simply, absolutely perfect. We fell in love with this place, so authentic. I regret not to stay longer time to use the bath in Japanese style! But I'll come back, that's for sure! Please, change nothing until we come back.

This is the best place we've ever stayed, and that's in over 20 countries! It's clean, friendly, feels homely, restful and has a great breakfast as well. Good balance between professionalism and friendliness. We are looking forward to coming back here again. So wonderful to have gardens whereever I look out of a window. Thanks!

Although this is my 3rd time in Japan for 3 consecutive years, it's the first time I stayed in a Japanese guesthouse. I could strongly recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Japan. It gives the experience of staying in the ryokan. It's a shame that I've only stayed for 1 night. I will come back to this place again when I travel to Japan the next time. Please do not make this place too commercialised. It will spoil everything. I love this place! FANTASTIC!

Love the place! it's surely affordable + the place is overall clean, neat. comfortable. Very conveniently located cos just near the train station. Like the old traaditional house structure + there is a cherry blossom viewing @ the garden. Managed by a young couple who speak English made it easier to communicate + feels much easy + the no restrictions. It's good blend of traditional house in young atmosphere. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. Doumo Arigatou!
