Everything was perfect. Beautiful. I found the lounge area very homely and comfortable. Very relaxing. The kitchen —fab. Found everything I needed to whip up some Udon! It was a perfect introduction to our stay in Japan. Thank you all so much for your help in translating directions and making us feel at home.

Spot on! Service was impecable! I cannot praise you all enough. I couldn't wish for a better place to start our trip. I only wish we could move the house with us!

The service was professional but laid back, just right for our style. The rooms and linens were excellent — very comfortable. I appriciated the clear communication with SHU when we emailed.

I highly recommend you stay at Yougendo Chris and SHU were perfect hosts. It is trully one minute from the train station. I will return on my next visit. Awesome!

The bathrooms were always clean and free from clutter — super big point for that! No scary bathing experiences here! Also the breakfasts were incredible — a great way to start the 'day'. Beautiful place, great food + service. JR fares are a bit pricy, but the ambience makes up for it in my opinion. Thanks for everything!

The food was delicious at breakfast! Even though it's a little out of the way to Kyoto and Osaka, it was well worth the train fare.

The Yougendo guesthouse is a lovely old style Japanese house. It is very clean and well organized.

A lovely experience. Not at all what I would imagine of "Budget Accommodation". You were extremely helpful in everyway. The food was magnificent. The house was gorgeous and conveniently located. The fact that bikes and Nintendo Wii were available, though I didn't get a chance to use them, made me very happy.

I slept like a log. After a long trip 'Yougendo' was a welcome retreat. We loved the food. When can we come back!?

I was impressed with the layout of all the rooms. It was very comfortable and spacious. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed staying here. I would definitely recommend it to my friends when they visit Osaka or Nara. It was very convenient. The atmosphere was very peaceful and enjoyable. We loved it! I loved it. The location is so close to a station, and a semi-important JR station at that, and we could choose going to Kyoto or Osaka equally. Very friendly and relaxing. The breakfast was an extremely pleasant surprise. It was very good and the vegetarian option on everything was nice as well.

Very beautiful place, futons were so nice to sleep in. The room is big enough, we slept with 3 people and still had place all around. Staff are open, very practically helpful... The house is spacious and you get a feeling like you're at home in less than 1 hour. Everythig is clean and everyone is ready to welcome you... Thank you for your advice and welcoming.

It's one of the best guesthouse where I've stayed so far in Japan (already 6weeks in Japan). I will recommend this guesthouse to my friends. You feel like you're at home, very friendly service, very clean and quiet.

I am an architect; to me, the house is enough to enjoy my stay; it is beautiful to all of my senses. However, SHU and Chris have been the finest hosts I've had in all of Japan. For me, having well spoken English was great, but it is nice to have hosts that are as friendly as you both. Thank you for everything, we hope to see you again!

The Youngendo has a relaxed atmosphere. It is in a great location with many amenities. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan and plan to stay here again on our next trip.
