The time have has been a great break away from the hectic pace of travelling.
The guesthouse in located convenience between Kansai + Nara area is a wonderful introduce to Japan. The town of Oji is feel like the actual real Japan.

Our experience at Yougengo has been fantastic. It has been everything more of our expectations of a Japanese Ryokan. Very Japanese look + feel without the formality. The service and meals are also very good. We had no reservations in recommending Yougendo to any of our friends.

You were seriously the best! I thought you were really helpful in every way, even in some stuff that perhaps I should have done myself. I loved how open and homey it felt. The food was amazing, the beds were comfortable, rooms are spacious, people helpful and friendly! Anytime I'm in the area I'll be staying here.
Staying here was a lovely experience. It was wonderful to be able to get a taste of the real Japan, and also be able to speak in more than stuttering bits to our host. The locate is also convenient to many places, which is a big plus. :D Thanks for everything!
Very professional service, yet approachable, it was great. Coffee was strong (a real plus). A history of the house / its ownership, year of first construction additions, renovations, would be very interesting + would give one a sense of where one fit in the train of things.

Muy buena acojida, todo lujo de detalles en la casa, in ambiente tranquilo, todos los servicios deseables. Merece la pena alojarse unos dias y disfrutar de la tranquilidad y la amabilidad de Shuko y Chris.
Lounge area was never crowded, people were always polite and responsible about sharing, all great. Very friendly, great cheerful happy people to be around everyone was great. This place is beautiful, traditional styling and the friendly atmosphere really makes you not want to leave. We appriciate all that you guy's have done. Thanks it was fun!
The rooms are lovely. Good impression as soon as we walked in. Services are SO NICE!! Very helpful, nice & lovely. Really welcoming & very cool place to be. I love the music in the evenings & nights. Good mood! YEAH.
You have a beautiful house and we were impressed in all areas. Nice and warming Ryokan. You feel home such that it is a problem when leaving. Paradise might exist in Oji. (But where is Oji anyway??)

(In French) Une maison d'hôte très accueillantè et chaleureuse où il fait bon de vivre (au rythme Japonais). Une base de repli (ou un Q.G.) indispensable pour des vacanciers qui souhaitent profiter de la region. (Nara, Kyoto, Osaka...)
