The Yougendo guesthouse is a great place to stay for a few days. Friendly atmosphere, well maintained and very close to JR lines. Oji is perfect spot to explor a large part of central Honshu.

We went to Oji during our honeymoon specifically to stay at Yougendo. It was such a lovely place, very comfortable and culturally rich. The room was fantastic and the amenities were really good. What we enjoyed most were the hospitality of your staff and the authentic atmosphere of Yougendo. We'd definitely stay there again when we visit Kansai next time. Until then, take care.

Nara and Kyoto would have to be the best spots in Japan.

I wanted to say we loved our stay a couple of weeks back at your ryokan. We truly had a nice experience and a couple of beautiful days in Oji. We traveled to Kyoto, Sendai and returned from Tokyo to our home in Amsterdam last week. Amazing time and certainly not the last time we visited Japan. Thank you. Thanks again and maybe till the next time. We would like to see more of the Nara area so we'll consider Yougendo when we return and tell all our friends.

Thank you for assisting us at the beginning of our Japan trip in January. Thank you for a very nice stay in Yougendo. I loved your guesthouse, the staff was very friendly and made me instantly feel like home and the house itself is beautiful as well as the garden. Also the bar is very cosy. The location next to railway station is very convinient with an easy acces to both Nara and Osaka. And the supermarket accross the street has all you need. When I visit Japan/Kansai again I will definitely come here again and will recommend this excellent place to all my friends planning a trip to Japan. Thank you all!
